Accounting Manager – Denver CO (Cherry Creek)

We are a growing custom window coverings business offering Hunter Douglas and Soft Window Treatments in the heart of the metro Denver area. We recently purchased a closet company which has the potential to double/triple/quadruple our overall business. We have three brick and mortar showrooms. It’s time to bring more accounting expertise in house. We believe that when you are willing to work for the things you want, good things happen.

• Four year degree in accounting
• CPA license preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in industry and/or public accounting.
• Experience managing staff
• Ability to work with and support the owners of the business
• Experience managing the close process from start to finish
• Polished and articulate communication skills and a warm attitude for face to face and over the phone conversations
• Experience with Quickbooks or comparable accounting software
• An independent person who is detail oriented and enjoys keeping things in perfect order High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Google docs & sheets, and comfortable with technology
• Optimism and professional presentation
• A reliability and steadiness that can be counted on to see things through

• This is a working manager position with one direct report currently. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves and dive into the day to day detail.
• Fill the role of in-house accounting expertise.
• Processing payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Recording revenue and expenses.
• Report financial results and reconcile the accounting system to our CRM.
• Helps with Key Performance Indicator data tracking and reporting Manage sales tax reporting process
• Month End and Year End Close
• Account reconciliations
• Support budgeting process
• Prepare data for outside tax service and review tax return
• Ensures company policies and procedures are followed while protecting the reputation of the company and our customers
