Transform Your Home with Dual Shades

  • Front Shade Filters Light
  • Secondary Shade Blocks Light
  • One Shared Headrail

The widest range of control, from light-filtering to room darkening, Duolite® is transforming homes–and lives–throughout the Denver area. Natural light enters, softened by one shade. Darkness replaces light when the secondary shade portion drops into place.

Available with three distinct product features, you choose the dual shade system that works best for you. From sheer shades that can suddenly provide room darkening, to woven woods that bring energy efficiency with a secondary cellular shade, you can have it all.

Dual Honeycomb Shades

A unique way of customizing the light control in your home, dual honeycomb shades feature two shade portions, joined together at the mid-section. One shade is light-filtering, or even translucent, designed to cut the glare and allow view-through. The other shade features room darkening fabrics, blocking light and the view. The entire window can be covered with cellular shades to provide thermal control, regardless of the light control. Cover the entire window with light-filtering; or block the entire window of light with room darkening. Adjust both into place to get a balance of some soft light and some blocked light. It’s entirely customizable.

Blackout Roller Shade

This is the most commonly featured type of dual window shades. Two different shades share one headrail. They operate independent of one another, so it’s easy to customize the look and feel of the space. The “front” shade is considered the designer portion of the window–beautiful fabrics with light-filtering opacity. The “back” shade is a blackout roller shade, meant to block out light when lowered in place behind the front shade. This type of dual roller shade system is available for Hunter Douglas Silhouette Shades, Woven Textured Roller Shades, Roller and Solar Shades and Roman Shades.

Secondary Honeycomb Shade

This concept is different than the standard dual honeycomb shade–it’s exclusive to our Provenance Woven Wood Shades collection. Our clients quickly fall in love with the natural fibers and unique woven textures of this shade collection. The way woven woods filter light into a room, and the visual interest they add to a space–it’s an incredible way to enhance the design. Now, with the option to have a secondary shade–a cellular shade–drop into place when you need to block the light and control the temperature, they have continued to be a top selection for Denver homeowners.
